Lead Teachers Program
A two-year program consisting of four training modules, targeting lead teachers in public schools. It aims to prepare them to be leaders of learning and advocates for change and professional development within their schools. The program focuses on building the capacities of lead teachers in the areas of effective teaching, resident supervision, educational leadership, and action research, with the first year of the program focusing on acquiring these skills.

Training Module 1
The successful lead teacher, building their professional, teaching, and supervisory competencies.
Training Module 2
The lead teacher as resident supervisor, covering supervisory tools, training needs analysis, and supporting classroom practices.
Training Module 3
The lead teacher as leader, developing leadership and communication skills, and building professional learning communities.
Training Module 4
The lead teacher as researcher, empowering them to design and conduct action research, analyze data, lead evidence-based professional development, and develop their training skills through designing effective training packages.

Enrolment
Applicants wishing to enrol in the Institute’s strategic training programmes must meet the following requirements.
Eligibility Requirements
- Nominees must be members of the Ministry of Education's teaching staff.
- Applicants for the Mathematics Experts, Science Experts, Arabic Language Experts (Grades 1–4), Arabic Language Experts (Grades 5–12), English Language Experts, and Field Two Experts programmes must have at least three years' experience in their current position.
- Applicants for supervisory programmes must hold the relevant job title, or an official secondment decision, for one of the following: the Senior Teachers Programme (Senior Teacher, or secondment to that position); the Supervisory Experts Programme (Subject Supervisor or Senior Subject Supervisor, or secondment to either); or the School Leadership Programme (School Principal, Assistant School Principal, School Administration Supervisor, Senior School Administration Supervisor, School Performance Evaluation Supervisor, Senior School Performance Evaluation Supervisor, or secondment to one of these).
- Applicants for the Programme for New Teachers must be newly appointed teachers; enrolment is mandatory for all new appointees.
- An applicant's job title must match the target group specified for the relevant programme.
- Applicants may not be on full-time study leave for a Master's or Doctoral degree.
