Arabic Language Experts Program (Grades 1-4)
This is a strategic program that offers a professional certificate (Diploma in Professional Practices) in developing and raising the level of specialized professional competencies for teachers of the first field in government schools for the subject “I Love My Language” for grades 1-4 in the Sultanate of Oman. The overall objective of the program is to empower participating teachers to lead the educational process and become advanced practitioners in their field. This is achieved through professional development, enabling them to become catalysts for student-centered educational change, equipping them with 21st century skills for international competitiveness. The program spans two academic years and comprises four training modules, distributed as follows:

Training Module 1
The principles and characteristics of specialized professional practices for teaching the four Arabic language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) in primary schools (grades 1-4).
Training Module 2
The specialized professional competencies for teaching the listening and speaking skills in Arabic in primary schools (grades 1-4).
Training Module 3
Specialized professional skills and methods for teaching reading in primary schools (grades 1-4).
Training Module 4
Specialized and creative strategies for teaching writing in primary schools (grades 1-4).

Applicants wishing to enrol in the Institute’s strategic training programmes must meet the following requirements.
Eligibility Requirements
- Nominees must be members of the Ministry of Education's teaching staff.
- Applicants for the Mathematics Experts, Science Experts, Arabic Language Experts (Grades 1–4), Arabic Language Experts (Grades 5–12), English Language Experts, and Field Two Experts programmes must have at least three years' experience in their current position.
- Applicants for supervisory programmes must hold the relevant job title, or an official secondment decision, for one of the following: the Senior Teachers Programme (Senior Teacher, or secondment to that position); the Supervisory Experts Programme (Subject Supervisor or Senior Subject Supervisor, or secondment to either); or the School Leadership Programme (School Principal, Assistant School Principal, School Administration Supervisor, Senior School Administration Supervisor, School Performance Evaluation Supervisor, Senior School Performance Evaluation Supervisor, or secondment to one of these).
- Applicants for the Programme for New Teachers must be newly appointed teachers; enrolment is mandatory for all new appointees.
- An applicant's job title must match the target group specified for the relevant programme.
- Applicants may not be on full-time study leave for a Master's or Doctoral degree.
