School Leadership Program
This two-year program targets assistant school principals from various government schools in the Sultanate of Oman. It focuses on building school leaders capable of effectively leading educational change, enhancing the quality of school performance, and building sustainable professional learning communities. The program is based on four interconnected training modules that empower participants to adopt a long-term leadership vision and develop practical strategies to improve the learning environment in their schools. The program focuses on developing critical thinking skills, analyzing school performance, continuous assessment, and effective guidance, all of which contribute to improved school performance and sustainable development.

School Leadership Models, reviewing various methods that contribute to enhancing leadership effectiveness within schools.

Applicants wishing to enrol in the Institute’s strategic training programmes must meet the following requirements.
Eligibility Requirements
- Nominees must be members of the Ministry of Education's teaching staff.
- Applicants for the Mathematics Experts, Science Experts, Arabic Language Experts (Grades 1–4), Arabic Language Experts (Grades 5–12), English Language Experts, and Field Two Experts programmes must have at least three years' experience in their current position.
- Applicants for supervisory programmes must hold the relevant job title, or an official secondment decision, for one of the following: the Senior Teachers Programme (Senior Teacher, or secondment to that position); the Supervisory Experts Programme (Subject Supervisor or Senior Subject Supervisor, or secondment to either); or the School Leadership Programme (School Principal, Assistant School Principal, School Administration Supervisor, Senior School Administration Supervisor, School Performance Evaluation Supervisor, Senior School Performance Evaluation Supervisor, or secondment to one of these).
- Applicants for the Programme for New Teachers must be newly appointed teachers; enrolment is mandatory for all new appointees.
- An applicant's job title must match the target group specified for the relevant programme.
- Applicants may not be on full-time study leave for a Master's or Doctoral degree.
