This two-year program, comprised of four training modules, targets Omani subject supervisors seconded to educational supervision positions within the Ministry of Education. The program aims to prepare educational supervisors with the professional and leadership competencies necessary to effectively support schools, improve teaching and learning practices, and enhance learning outcomes. The first year focuses on developing supervisors’ knowledge and deepening their understanding of global best practices in teaching and learning, applying professional standards, and providing effective feedback. The second year focuses on enhancing supervisors’ skills in leading change, building professional learning communities, and utilizing evidence-based action research to improve educational practices. The program also seeks to build independent professional learning communities capable of sustaining professional development in the future.
