Educational Supervision Experts Program
This two-year program, comprised of four training modules, targets Omani subject supervisors seconded to educational supervision positions within the Ministry of Education. The program aims to prepare educational supervisors with the professional and leadership competencies necessary to effectively support schools, improve teaching and learning practices, and enhance learning outcomes. The first year focuses on developing supervisors’ knowledge and deepening their understanding of global best practices in teaching and learning, applying professional standards, and providing effective feedback. The second year focuses on enhancing supervisors’ skills in leading change, building professional learning communities, and utilizing evidence-based action research to improve educational practices. The program also seeks to build independent professional learning communities capable of sustaining professional development in the future.

Training Module 1
The professional practices of the educational supervisor, including classroom observation, feedback, and supporting professional development.
Training Module 2
Effective support plans, through data analysis, development prioritization, and the development and implementation of action support plans.
Training Module 3
Professional learning communities and change management, emphasizing leading learning and building professional learning communities within schools.
Training Module 4
Leading learning and action research, including data analysis, impact measurement, and planning for change and sustainable development.

Enrolment
Applicants wishing to enrol in the Institute’s strategic training programmes must meet the following requirements.
Eligibility Requirements
- Nominees must be members of the Ministry of Education's teaching staff.
- Applicants for the Mathematics Experts, Science Experts, Arabic Language Experts (Grades 1–4), Arabic Language Experts (Grades 5–12), English Language Experts, and Field Two Experts programmes must have at least three years' experience in their current position.
- Applicants for supervisory programmes must hold the relevant job title, or an official secondment decision, for one of the following: the Senior Teachers Programme (Senior Teacher, or secondment to that position); the Supervisory Experts Programme (Subject Supervisor or Senior Subject Supervisor, or secondment to either); or the School Leadership Programme (School Principal, Assistant School Principal, School Administration Supervisor, Senior School Administration Supervisor, School Performance Evaluation Supervisor, Senior School Performance Evaluation Supervisor, or secondment to one of these).
- Applicants for the Programme for New Teachers must be newly appointed teachers; enrolment is mandatory for all new appointees.
- An applicant's job title must match the target group specified for the relevant programme.
- Applicants may not be on full-time study leave for a Master's or Doctoral degree.
